How to Change a Character Image in SoCreate Screenwriting Software

There are 3 ways to change a character image in SoCreate Screenwriting Software:

  1. To change a character image from the Story Toolbar:
    • Navigate to your Story Toolbar and hover over the character whose image you wish to change.
    • In the pop out click the three-dot menu icon. Then click Edit Character.
    • From within the Edit Character pop out, click Change Image.
    • From here, choose which image you want to use to replace your current choice.
  2. To change a character image from the Story Stream:
    • Hover over the character whose image you wish to change.
    • In the pop out click the three-dot menu icon. Then click Edit Character.
    • From within the Edit Character pop out, click Change Image.
    • From here, choose which image you want to use to replace your current choice.
  3. To change a character image from a Dialogue Stream Item:
    • From the three-dot menu icon in a dialogue stream item, click Edit Character.
    • From within the Edit Character pop out, click Change Image.
    • From here, choose which image you want to use to replace your current choice.

You can always reference which images you’ve used for other characters in your story by clicking “Used in Story.”

Find additional image collections in the Filter By dropdown menu. For example, choose to only see Doodle images, or only see real people.

And use image tags to filter your character selections down even further. For example, filter by traits like age, face shape, skin tone, hair color, and more.

Once you’ve found a great replacement image, select that image and click Save Character.

You’ll now see your updated character image in every place in which your character appears.
